Program Description:
Youth Care of Utah offers a continuum of care for adolescents ages 11-18 who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems including drug or alcohol abuse. Our continuum is broken into two different programs- Youth Care and Pine Ridge Academy. Not every student will attend all of the programs. The continuum of services is available so a plan can individually be planned for each adolescent. Youth Care Residential Treatment Program is our most intensive continuum of care. Youth Care is located in Draper, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. This program is for adolescent boys and girls between the ages of 11-18. Youth Care's strengths are the small size (14students) and strong therapeutic program. As part of this strong therapeutic program, students at Youth Care receive three individual therapy sessions per week, five group therapy sessions per week, a family therapy session each week, and a psychiatric visit each week. Students also participate in an accredited school program, recreational therapy, behavior modification, and if necessary, substance abuse counseling. The cost for this program is $407 per day. Many times this cost is covered by health insurance or there are student loans available. (Please confirm the current daily rate with an admissions counselor.)
